William is a fiction writer and freelance editor.

He graduated as a Chair’s Fellow from Columbia University’s MFA in Fiction.

Before this he completed an MSt in Creative Writing at University of Oxford, where his work received a Research Support Grant. As an undergraduate, he read English Literature at Cambridge University, where he edited the university newspaper, Varsity, and was awarded the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Other Prize in Playwriting.

Before pursuing a freelance career in writing, William briefly worked in film development where he supported a slate of projects in development with Amblin Entertainment and ITV Drama.

His writing has been supported by the McCormack Writers Center (formerly Tin House), and published in Columbia Journal, Engelsberg Ideas, and The Guardian.

He is represented by United Talent Agents in New York.
